Becoming a Christian

Ever thought of becoming a Christian, here's how

April 2020

The Gospel/Salvation message

You are in a car driving down a highway at 110km/h, it’s an overcast day and slightly drizzling. You are nearing a bend in the road when all of a sudden you see a car tearing towards you on your side of the road, out of control and about to hit you head on . . .
That’s all it takes and your life is over. It can be from natural causes, intentional, or by no fault of your own, and your life is taken from you. But now what? What happens now, where do you go, what was your purpose in life?

Have you ever thought what this life is about and what happens when you die? As we all know, life is short, none of us are here forever and there is no cure for aging or death. So, let me share with you the story of the gospel and the one true reason and purpose of life.

In the year 0 A.D., God did something very special for us all. As most would know, He sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to bring to us a way that we might have eternal life with Him. Jesus came into the world to die; for you, for me, for the sins of this world. This was prophesied from the beginning of creation until the day God sent His Son into the very world we live in today.
John 3:16,17:  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

God loved us, as He still does today. He gave His only Son Jesus to die on the cross, that if we believe in Him, we should not perish. Jesus laid down His life for us all and He calls us to repent (have a change of mind and heart towards Him) and believe in Him. In all of your life, He has been knocking at the door of your heart, waiting for you to open it so He may come in and dwell in you, and give you eternal life.

Here is a verse of inspiration from the Bible, Romans 10:9,10: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

It’s that simple, that easy, there are no tricks. Becoming a Christian is so easy that even a child can believe.

So choose today, who you will serve, will you serve Jesus?

Joshua 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; … but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
